ÖH Hackathon

The first ÖH Hackathon is just around the corner:

From 17 to 19 November will be presented at the FHV "hacked" on different projects.

Gladly are all students welcome to participate in the hackathon. The goal is to be in the Team or also alone, within 48 hours useful, creative or entertaining Prototypes/Projects implement. The projects can be implemented in Software, Hardware, a Mixture of both or even just as Concept be implemented. Therefore, students are also welcome to come together with fellow students from other degree programmes to work together on an interdisciplinary project. Also Programming skills are Not necessaryYou can also help your team with Design or good Project ideas help ahead.

Projects could be, for example: An automatic plant watering system, an app for finding carpools to the UAS, an idea for a revolutionary call assistance system in nursing or the development of a new business concept. If you've had an idea for a while that you just haven't found the right impetus for, now is the perfect time to develop it. The choice of Technologies, Designs and Projects are left to the teams. We would also like to help you with the team composition. no constraints do. If you don't want to participate alone and haven't found a team by the start of the hackathon, you can get to know other participants at the beginning and form a team together.

A hackathon is a collaborative software development event that takes place online or in presence. The aim of a hackathon is to find software products or solutions for given problems within the given time in teams.

The hackathon is open to all students. You are also welcome to form interdisciplinary teams and work together on a project. The implementations don't have to be technical either. For example, if you want to explore an idea for a revolutionary call assistance system in nursing or a business concept, you are also welcome to work on these ideas.

Friday 17.11.:

13:00: Registration and check-in (Foyer Hochschulstraße/Café Schräg)

14:00: Kick-off of the ÖH Hackathon (Room W212)

18:00 h: free dinner for all participants

Saturday 18.11.:

12:00: free lunch for all participants

18:00 h: free dinner for all participants

Sunday 19.11.:

08:00: free breakfast for all participants

13:00: Presentations of the projects (Room W212)

After 48 hours of hard work, you naturally want to present what you have achieved to the other participants. For this purpose, we will meet again in room W212, where each team will get 2-3 minutes for a short presentation of their project.
