The Social Politics Department supports, informs and organises information events: 

• Representation of students' interests within and outside Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (=students' voice)
• Mediating and advisory activity
• Receive suggestions and problems from the students
• Formation of networks within the degree programmes at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences
• Promoting internal communication
• Financial support for study-related projects, socio-political campaigns and events for all degree programmes ("Söpps" - socio-economic and socio-political platform of the students)
• Counselling on questions about studying and various grants (scholarships, family allowance, housing allowance, etc.)
• Counselling on various topics such as "Studying with a child" or "Studying and working" (Innsbruck Scholarship Office; family-friendly study culture FHV: childcare offer Zwergengarten Kica).
• Planning and implementation of social projects for the benefit of students of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences
• Organisation of lectures and information events
• Psychological Student Counselling Innsbruck and services via ifs
