"Are you interested in LGBTQIA* topics? Or do you want to learn more about it? Do you have questions or just want to talk to cool people? No matter where you feel you belong - HERE YOU ARE!"
... the Queer Department has made it its goal to offer students the opportunity to regularly exchange ideas with each other, share experiences and ultimately have a great time together.
At the very beginning, what does LGBTQIA* or queer actually mean?
LGBTQIA* stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual. The asterisk ("*") stands for those who do not identify with the terms just mentioned, but are of course also meant and should feel addressed.
Queer refers to people who deviate from alleged "norms" through their sexual orientation or gender identity, for example, and simply be themselves.
Contents and topics of the regulars' table
The regulars' table offers ALL students of Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences to have the opportunity to network and get in touch in the context of LGBTQIA* topics. No matter where you feel you belong, whether you are part of the community and want to meet cool people or have questions you would like to have answered: the LGBTQIA* Stammtisch is the right place to exchange ideas in a cosy atmosphere.
The regular Stammtisch does not have any prescribed topics that have to be discussed. At the beginning, there may be a short thought-provoking impulse or something topical to discuss briefly, but after that, the focus is on personal conversations and shared exchange.
